Another fantastic day with a lovely Lambert girl, Rabecca Ann!

She wore a beautiful coffee & donut apron all afternoon. 

It was wonderful!

We made cookies. 

GIANT cookies. 
Cookies with handprints too.

Laughed, 

chatted, 

giggled.

A perfect afternoon with 

a simply scrumptious sweetie!

Understanding my limitations... like shoes

 Yesterday was glorious. Spent the day baking with my beloved Bridget. Pretzels & Lambert size loaves of bread!

Wonderful. 

Memorable. 

Glorious.

Today on the other hand.... not so glorious. 


My back is out. 


Because I did all that glorious baking barefoot. 


My back hates me. 


It's reminding me I'm not 25 & I have limitations... like shoes. 


yuck.


argh...

Doesn't make yesterday any less glorious.

Japan Week & Sushi!

 This week at the Sherwood Homeschool we've been learning about Japan; history, culture and most importantly food! Here's a sampling of our awesome cuisine!

Kids and a chore chart

I've always loathed the idea of a chore chart. Little stickers, labels, smiley faces... ick. But today after another round of arguing who had which "side" of the dishwasher and neither being correct I'd had it. ARGH!!!

Fine.
I'll make a system. No, I will not call is a chart. I won't and frankly you can't make me.

I decide a basic system would work; Bathroom, Dishwasher & Table and Laundry & garbage. I've explained my expectations to Mo, Joe & Curly and I'm hopeful this will quell the constant squabling.

This is final product.

   

I'm happy to say it is without a single sticker or label or smiley face.

Sometimes it's good to have a little perspective.

I love my life!

Who I am

I've spent alot of time trying to be what I thought other people wanted me to be and made myself, and everyone around me, miserable in the process. Who am I? I am a child of the Most High, created in His image to be exactly who He called me to be. I am not perfect, but He is perfecting me. I am not good, but His goodness fills me. I am not righteous or holy or moral but through Christ I am a new creation! It's taken some time but I have embraced who God created me to be and I, and everyone one around me, is happier because of it.

... Free! Free to love & worship the Most High God!

I am... Beautiful! Because the my Creator said so!

I am... Quirky & Fun & Crazy!

I am... Colorful & Vivacious!

I am... Talented, Artistic & Creative.

 

I am... Wife, Mother & full of Joy!

I am exactly who GOD created me to be & I'm thrilled!

Coffee... how I love thee

Coffee

I love coffee. I love cream, peppermint or hazelnut to be specific. I love how they swirl together and you look so glorious in my new orange coffee cup.



Coffee brings me joy and without it's luscious dark silkiness my morning would be... sleepy.


Thank you JESUS for coffee!
